"Father Time Light Bulb" contemporary figurative painting

Fast-food wrappers and trash floating at the edge of a stagnant pond.  You can barely read the name of the latest McMovie on the side of the McFood cup.  It is covered in green scum.  Everything is ignorance and consumption and extinction.  When I was a boy, I watched thousands of tiny baby turtles hatch out of the sand and tumble into the water of this same pond. 

I draw a picture when I get home.  I look at it and think it should be called "cartoons watching animals wave goodbye to planet earth."
