"Hunting for Fossils" Fine Art Painting

This painting is from an imagined landscape, but based on lots of fieldwork, photos and sketches from my ramblings.  I am taking my wife Darlene out to look for fossils in the cliffs overlooking a beach.  I am starting to develop the skills I need to undertake some paintings I have been thinking about for a few years.  I am still working long hours and very excited.
