"Magnolia and Trumpet Creeper" contemporary figurative painting

This painting is a step forward in many ways.  It certainly catches the eye and has good color and and sense of light.  Still, I can't look at anything I paint without seeing ways I could make it better or at least try something differently.  I don't waste time reworking a painting endlessly.  Instead, I just keep looking at the painting in the studio and try to make the next painting differently.  All this being said, I am very happy with this canvas.  I don't think Darlene would let me ever sell it.
