"Mormon Crickets" contemporary figurative painting

The Lord sends the seagulls to eat the crickets, and the first harvest is saved.  

Although, on the other hand, nothing lives in the Great Salt Lake, so these landlocked seagulls had probably been living on crickets for many years before the Saints ever arrived in Utah.
