"Singing Love Songs to My Art" contemporary figurative painting

Like most of my paintings, I expect to paint many versions of this composition/theme in the future.  My skills increase with each painting, but each painting is in some way a failure or compromise.  I can only see the flaws after I am done.  There is never a sense of satisfaction, only the need to keep painting.

All that being said, I sometime walk into a room and see one of my paintings and can't believe I was able to make something that wonderful.  I suspect this painting is one of those.
